In einer Zeit des rapiden Wandels stehen wir vor existenziellen Fragen:
Wie erhalten wir die Vielfalt der Kulturen, der Kulturorte, Kreativräume und künstlerischen Ausdrucksformen?
Wie können wir nachhaltige Praktiken aus der Permakultur auf unsere kreativen Prozesse übertragen?
>KOMBINAT< PERMA lädt ein zum gemeinsamen Denken, Handeln und Zelebrieren. Eine Woche der Kollaboration im pulsierenden Herzen des Permakulturgartens im COMBINATION.SPACE. Hier verschmelzen Bild, Klang, Bewegung, Essen und Geschichten zu einem lebendigen Organismus – genährt durch die Energie der Teilnehmenden, der Menschen aus dem Tal und Dir.
Wir erforschen Schnittstellen zwischen ökologischer Nachhaltigkeit und kultureller Vitalität, zwischen uraltem Wissen und zeitgenössischen Praktiken. Der Garten wird zur Bühne, das Kochen zum Ritual, die gemeinsame Zeit zum Kunstwerk.

Wir laden dich herzlich zur Kombinatwoche vom 11.-17. August 2025 im COMBINATION.SPACE im Val Blenio ein. Unter dem Thema „PERMA“ erforschen wir gemeinsam, wie Prinzipien der Permakultur auf Kunst und kulturelle Praxis übertragen werden können.
Während dieser intensiven kreativen Woche kochen und leben wir zusammen und entwickeln eine gemeinsame Performance, die am 15./16. August öffentlich präsentiert wird. Der Fokus liegt auf dem authentischen Austausch und der künstlerischen Entfaltung in einer natürlichen Umgebung mit Permakulturgarten.

In a time of rapid change, we face existential questions: How do we preserve the diversity of cultures and artistic expressions? How can we transfer sustainable practices from permaculture to our creative processes?
PERMA invites you to think, act, and celebrate together. A week of collaboration in the vibrant heart of the permaculture garden at COMBINATION.SPACE. Here, image, sound, movement, food, and stories merge into a living organism – nourished by the energy of the participants, the people from the valley, and you.
We explore interfaces between ecological sustainability and cultural vitality, between ancient knowledge and contemporary practices. The garden becomes a stage, cooking becomes ritual, shared time becomes artwork.

We cordially invite you to the Kombinat week from August 11-17, 2025 at the COMBINATION.SPACE in Val Blenio. Under the theme „PERMA“, we will explore together how principles of permaculture can be transferred to art and cultural practice.
During this intensive creative week, we will cook and live together, developing a collaborative performance that will be publicly presented on August 16. The focus is on authentic exchange and artistic development in a natural environment with a permaculture garden.

In un’epoca di rapidi cambiamenti, affrontiamo domande esistenziali: come preserviamo la diversità delle culture e delle espressioni artistiche? Come possiamo trasferire pratiche sostenibili dalla permacultura ai nostri processi creativi?
PERMA ti invita a pensare, agire e celebrare insieme. Una settimana di collaborazione nel cuore vibrante del giardino di permacultura presso COMBINATION.SPACE. Qui, immagine, suono, movimento, cibo e storie si fondono in un organismo vivente – nutrito dall’energia dei partecipanti, delle persone della valle e da te.
Esploriamo le interfacce tra sostenibilità ecologica e vitalità culturale, tra conoscenza antica e pratiche contemporanee. Il giardino diventa un palcoscenico, cucinare diventa rituale, il tempo condiviso diventa arte.

Durante questa intensa settimana creativa, cucineremo e vivremo insieme, sviluppando una performance collaborativa che sarà presentata pubblicamente il 16 agosto. L’attenzione è rivolta allo scambio autentico e allo sviluppo artistico in un ambiente naturale con un giardino di permacultura.

Simon Berz built his artist’s studio during the pandemic in the old chocolate factory of Cima Norma in the Blenio Valley. In 2023, filmmaker Andi Hofmann moved into the studio as a co-tenant. This has become a space with permaculture garden, workspace, living and music room with kitchen and bathroom, artist’s studio and bar/event space, which is constantly being developed and sustainably expanded with various interested artists* and architects* and is available to artists* as artist in residence.
With this „space“ we want to build a network to generate transdisciplinary encounters, knowledge exchange, development of creative behaviors, intercultural encounters, as well as innovation and information exchange about art, science and technology. Intercultural responses to the threat of climate change, digitalization and the associated dehumanization in today’s world will be sought. The generated content will be used to work together towards a global culture of consciousness.
Do you feel the need to work on a piece in an inspiring environment? We offer the COMBINATION.SPACE to artists and scientists for a working stay of 1-2 weeks. Our place is simple, constantly growing and gives you the opportunity to participate in the growth of COMBINATION.SPACE.
Following the motto of DOCUMENTA Kassel 2022: MAKE FRIENDS NOT ART, a global network is created, which identifies with the idea of sharing, caring, growing and connecting.
